We are looking for a highly organised, proactive and resilient Operational Support Assistant to join the Investigation and Enforcement team on a 11-month fixed term contract. The team is responsible for investigating allegations against barristers and taking disciplinary or other action on behalf of the BSB. This is a fast-paced role with a heavy and varied workload, supporting the casework of our Investigations and Enforcement team. You will be responsible for:

* Organising hearing dates and preparing Tribunal Hearing bundles

* Liaising with witnesses and handling correspondence

* Drafting letters

* Maintaining manual and electronic records, updating databases

* Responding to enquiries from both internal and external stakeholders by phone, email and letter.


Key skills and experience required to undertake the role include:

* Demonstrable administrative experience skills with high attention to detail

* Proficiency in MS Office applications and general IT systems

* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and adapt messages for a range of audiences, including at a senior level.

* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and deliver accurate, consistent work

* Ability to stay calm and comfortable working under pressure in a busy operational environment

* Proactive and able to manage competing priorities

Knowledge of the legal profession or experience in regulatory or legal process would be desirable.
