Offer description

Children and Young People Residential Support Workers

GBP11.00 per hour plus sleep-ins as required, based on a monthly rota, with the opportunity to pick up additional shifts.

Contract: Permanent

Are you resilient, robust, and resourceful?

Are you honest, reliable, compassionate, flexible, fun, and hard-working? Do you have a background in working with children or are you an experienced Youth Worker looking to make a switch? Or have you been an RSW and would like to return to the sector?

If your answer is YES, then consider a company offering clear career progression and full training in purpose-designed children's residential settings.

Typical day as an RSW:

* Helping cook the evening meal
* Assisting with homework
* Playing football in the garden

And the next day might involve:

* Attending meetings
* Addressing challenging behaviour
* Writing reports

If this sounds like you, read on.

TeacherActive is working with a residential provider in Wolverhampton. This national provider has an excellent reputation supporting young people with emotional difficulties, challenging behaviour, and other needs. They adopt a child-centred approach, actively promote children's rights, and provide ongoing therapeutic care. The service is delivered in safe, personalised, small group settings focused on children's welfare.

Requirements:

* Minimum one year of experience working with children or young adults in education or care (essential)
* Level 3 Children and Young People's Workforce qualification or equivalent (desirable)
* A full UK driving licence (desirable)

The residential home accommodates children up to age 18. Due to the Department for Education's standards, applicants must be at least 22 years old, as employees must be 4 years older than the oldest resident.

This is a rolling advert. Applications are reviewed regularly, and interviews are held on Thursdays and Fridays. Unsuccessful applicants at any stage will not be reconsidered if they re-apply during this period. The advert closes once all positions are filled, so early application is encouraged.

All applicants will be contacted for suitability discussions and then invited to register with TeacherActive. Registration involves an enhanced DBS check, ID verification, and professional references. We offer a wide range of opportunities with competitive rates and flexible timings. Our standards are consistently rated as exceptional, and we are committed to finding the right staff for each environment.

TeacherActive is an equal opportunities employer and operates as an Employment Business for temporary and contract staffing services.
