SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary Schools, Harlow
Are you passionate about making a difference in children’s lives? We’re looking for SEN Teaching Assistants to join primary schools across Harlow.
This role is ideal if you’ve worked in social care, youth services, summer camps, or support roles — or if you’re a graduate in psychology, education or a related field looking to build hands-on experience in schools.
What you’ll be doing:
* Supporting children with additional needs to access learning and thrive in the classroom
* Working closely with teachers to adapt activities and provide tailored support
* Building strong relationships with pupils, helping them develop confidence and independence
* Using patience, creativity, and empathy to make a real impact every day

* Experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable groups (not just in schools)
* A caring, adaptable, and resilient approach
* Teamwork skills and the confidence to take initiative
* A genuine desire to support children with special educational needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
