Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Lecturer in Fabrication and Welding to join the Bersham Road campus.
Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging teaching sessions and prepare relevant learning materials
* Mark, assess student work, and provide guidance, feedback, and pastoral support to learners
* Liaise with awarding bodies and support exam processes
* Work collaboratively with tutors across curriculum areas
* Maintain accurate documentation such as registers, schemes of work, course reviews and student reports
Qualifications & Requirements
* A minimum Level 3 qualification in a relevant Fabrication and Welding discipline
* A teaching qualification (PGCE/Cert Ed) or willingness to work towards one
* Strong understanding and application of mathematical concepts
* Up‑to‑date knowledge of developments within your specialist area
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to develop and use a range of teaching and learning techniques
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently to deadlines
* Good IT skills, ideally including Microsoft Office and Google applications
* Welsh language skills (desirable)
* Awareness of quality standards within teaching
* Enhanced DBS with Barred List check (regulation for workplace)
* Full registration with the Education Workforce Council (may be required)
