6 Month Contract With A Local Authority Role Purpose We are seeking a time-served, fully qualified Electrician to deliver high-quality electrical works across both tenanted and void domestic properties within a social housing environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent technical knowledge, strong diagnostic abilities, and a commitment to safe, compliant, and customer-focused service delivery. Key Responsibilities Carry out electrical installation, maintenance, inspection, testing, and repair works to a high standard in domestic properties Work effectively in both tenanted and void properties, ensuring minimal disruption to residents Diagnose electrical faults accurately and carry out effective repairs within domestic settings Conduct electrical testing, inspection, and certification in accordance with current regulations Trace, identify, and rectify electrical faults safely and efficiently Undertake repairs and fault-finding on various types of domestic central heating systems Ensure all works comply with current IET Wiring Regulations, health & safety standards, and company policies Complete all job documentation accurately, including test results and certification Provide excellent customer service, maintaining a professional and courteous manner at all times Work independently or as part of a wider maintenance team as required Requirements Time-served, fully qualified Electrician Relevant electrical qualifications (e.g. NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent) 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671) Proven experience working within social housing Strong knowledge of domestic electrical systems Excellent testing, inspection, and diagnostic skills Ability to trace and rectify electrical faults efficiently Experience working on or alongside domestic central heating systems Full UK driving licence
