We are looking to recruit two Psychology Lecturers/Senior Lecturers to join our Business and Science School based at our London, Bloomsbury campus.

As a Psychology Lecturer, you will deliver high quality education across ULaw’s postgraduate and undergraduate programmes. This includes curriculum development, quality management, enhancement activities and associated operational administration. Our Senior Lecturers take a lead role in ensuring the efficiency, effectiveness and enhancement of programmes following the University’s strategy, policy and procedures.

To support our innovative and student-centred approach to teaching delivery, the role is based on a 35-hour working week but operates on a 5-over-7-day working pattern. This approach offers flexibility in how hours are worked and will include evenings and/or weekends during teaching weeks. Your working pattern will be discussed and agreed collaboratively each term, subject to operational requirements. This will include designated weekday time off when evening and/or weekend working is required to promote wellbeing and work-life balance.

As a Psychology Lecturer at The University of Law Business and Science School, you will:

* Teach and assess across the University of Law course portfolio in such subjects assigned to you. This will include teaching and assessing students across a range of written and oral skills and giving individual feedback on students’ performances.
* Act as an academic coach to students, including being available and willing to discuss students’ problems as they arise, their performance and academic progression
* Assist in marketing, widening participation and extra-curricular events.
* Supervise student dissertations and research projects.


Is this you?

* Sufficient breadth and depth of professional experience in the relevant discipline to develop teaching programmes and learning support
* Professional, credible, commands respect


Requirements for Lecturer positions:

* Masters degree or equivalent in a relevant subject
* Fellowship of Advance HE (HEA) or equivalent or willingness to work towards
* Relevant teaching qualification or willingness to work towards PGCHE

* Please note that if you do not currently hold this, it is a requirement of the University that you will enrol into the programme (delivered and financially supported by the University), usually within 12 months of passing probation. Successful completion/ qualification is essential to this role.


Requirements for Senior Lecturer positions:

* Postgraduate qualification or equivalent in a relevant subject
* Fellowship of Advance HE (HEA)
* Relevant teaching qualification

For Senior Lecturers you will have developed significant expertise in: Application and practical delivery of a range of teaching techniques, pastoral care, mentoring colleagues, assessments and marking, team leadership.
