Site Clear is a waste and recycling company, established for 20 years, serving clients across the UK, with continuing growth ambitions.
The key purpose of the role is for Driver Waste Operative, who will be driving 3.5t box vans visiting multiple sites across the UK and safely loading various materials onto the vehicle and transporting back to our depot for processing in Cannock or alternative disposal sites.
The applicant must be physical fit, reliable and hardworking.
In addition, trustworthy and conscientious in looking after both company equipment and clients serviced when visiting, with attention to detail.
Duties
Ensure your vehicle, tools and equipment in use are kept clean, tidy and operational at all times.
Have the ability to operate and complete tasks using IT equipment provided, including a tablet and satnav
Drive to and from various customer sites across the UK, completing all collection tasks as set out for the day.
Carry out all work activities safely and efficiently, including:
o Perform daily vehicle check prior to departure, reporting any issues
o Ensure you take with you the correct PPE, equipment and containers required to carry out your daily duties
Wear the appropriate PPE required to be able to perform all duties safely
Report any site hazards or additional, unidentifiable, or wrongly identified waste items to head office prior to any handling or acceptance
Act safely and responsibly with all loading, driving and unloading activities, bearing in mind all legislation including the Road Traffic Act and FORS Bronze
Identify and label each container to enable traceability, particularly if any non-conforming items could be discovered later
Provide any ad-hoc support on or off site as directed
Early starts with occasional nights out

Salary is £13.00 p/h basic plus overtime based on 45 hrs
Expected hours: Average 50 hrs plus per week overtime paid time and half

Experience/Licence/Certification:
* Commercial driving: 2 years (required)
* Full UK Driving Licence (required)
* ADR advantageous but training can be provided.
