We're looking for a Tyre Performance Engineer to support race and test events by analysing tyre behaviour and its interaction with overall vehicle performance. You'll deliver fast, accurate insights to help optimise car setup and development, while continuously improving our tyre analysis tools and processes.
Responsibilities:
1. Analyse track data to assess tyre performance and identify setup and development opportunities.
2. Deliver real-time tyre analysis during race and test events, reporting findings under pressure to strict deadlines.
3. Develop and refine tyre analysis methods, processes, and toolsets.
4. Communicate tyre insights clearly to Performance, Race Engineering, and the wider Engineering Department.
5. Support event operations from the MTC and occasionally at trackside.
6. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Master's degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
* 2-3 years' experience in tyre and performance analysis, ideally in motorsport.
* Strong understanding of tyre behaviour and vehicle dynamics.
* Proficiency in MATLAB and experience with analysis tool development.
* Experience in Performance or Race Engineering roles.
