Job Description

3. Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports for internal stakeholders.
4. Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes to ensure alignment with business objectives.
5. Analyse financial performance and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
6. Support the year-end audit process, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
7. Manage and mentor junior members of the finance team to enhance departmental capabilities.
8. Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support strategic decisions.
9. Ensure the accuracy of financial data and maintain robust financial control systems.
10. Assist in the development and implementation of new financial processes and systems.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Management Accountant should have:

11. A recognised accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, or ACA).
12. Proven experience in management accounting within the business services sector.
13. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
14. Excellent knowledge of financial reporting standards and compliance requirements.
15. Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
16. Effective communication skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
17. A proactive mindset with a focus on process improvement and efficiency.
