Main duties of the job
The Care Support Worker will work together with members of the Nursing / Midwifery team and contribute to the implementation of high standards and individualised patient care under the direction of a registered nurse.
The post holder will be required to communicate effectively with other members of the healthcare team, patients, and relatives. They must be able to recognise and report any changes in the patient's condition that may require intervention.
The post holder will be assessed on appointment regarding their competence level and may be required to undertake development, including basic skills and in-house training programs.

Person Specification
Education and Qualifications (Essential)
* Maths and English GCSE A-D or Grade 4-9, or Functional Skills Level 1
* Care Certificate or ability to complete within 12 weeks of employment
* QCF/NVQ Level 2 in Healthcare or equivalent experience
Skills and Experience (Essential)
* Previous experience caring for people in a care worker role within a hospital, community, or residential setting
* Experience in customer care and dealing with the public
Interests and Motivation (Essential)
* Commitment to in-house training
* Knowledge of duties as a Clinical Support Worker
Communication (Essential)
* Clear oral and written communication skills
