Trainee Tail Lift Engineer

Salary: £27,500 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday (Full Time)
Job Overview
We are looking for a reliable and motivated Trainee Tail Lift Engineer to join our team in Leicester. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with mechanical knowledge who is looking to build a long-term career in the tail lift and commercial vehicle industry. Full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with the servicing, maintenance, and repair of tail lifts on commercial vehicles
* Support experienced engineers during inspections and breakdowns
* Learn to diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults
* Carry out safety checks and ensure equipment meets required standards
* Complete basic paperwork and job reports
* Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean working environment
* Travel to customer sites as required
Requirements
* Clean UK driving licence (essential)
* Some mechanical knowledge or experience (essential)
* Willingness to learn and develop technical skills
* Good problem-solving ability and attention to detail
* Positive attitude and strong work ethic
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
