Job Summary
We are looking for a CT Radiographer (Band 6) for the Royal Stoke University Hospital CT scanning department. The role involves running CT lists, supervising students and precepting CT radiographers, maintaining good working relationships with all departments, and fulfilling the responsibilities of the Band 6 role as per the job description.
The CT scanning department currently has nine state‑of‑the‑art CT scanners, rising to 11 with the planned opening of the UHNM CDC at the beginning of April 2026. The post provides support to a wide range of referrers, including the Level 1 Major Trauma Centre, Vascular and Neuro Interventions, Paediatric, Musculo‑skeletal, and Oncology services.
Being part of the University Hospital of North Midlands (UHNM) brings the opportunity to contribute to the training of student radiographers on their clinical placement and to CT radiographers on Band 5/6 preceptorship.
Responsibilities
* Efficient and effective running of the CT lists, ensuring that policies and procedures are adhered to, thereby providing a safe and efficient environment for the patient.
* Supervision of student radiographers and training of CT radiographers on Band 5/6 preceptorship.
* Maintaining good working relationships with all departments.
* Proactively fulfilling the responsibilities of the Band 6 role as outlined in the job description.
