Your new role
As Legal Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the business by drafting, reviewing and negotiating a broad range of service and supply agreements with majormercial clients.
Working closely with internal stakeholders, you will ensure contracts aremercially robust, aligned with risk appetite, and clearly reflect the services being delivered.
You will:
1. Draft, review and negotiatemercial contracts, ensuring risk is appropriately managed
2. Provide clear, pragmatic legal guidance to internal stakeholders
3. Support and lead contract negotiations with clients
4. Work collaboratively with subject matter experts to refine contractual terms and service descriptions
5. Contribute to business projects
6. Supporternance, policy development andpliance initiatives
7. Assist with managing external advisors and improving internal processes
8. This is a varied andmercially focused position with exposure toplex negotiations, cross-functional collaboration and strategic projects.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be either a qualified solicitor or qualified by experience, with a strong background inmercial contracting.
You should demonstrate:
9. Proven experience drafting and negotiatingplex service agreements
10. Strongmercial awareness and the ability to balance legal risk with business objectives
11. Confidence working with stakeholders across the business
12. Excellent written and verbalmunication skills
13. Strong organisational and project management ability
14. A proactive and solutions-focused approach
Experience within insurance, financial services or regulated environments would be advantageous.
