We are working with a friendly 3–11 mixed primary school in Enfield to recruit an energetic School Caretaker for an immediate start following the February half term. This part-time role (Monday and Tuesday only) is a temporary-to-permanent opportunity, perfect for someone looking for a stable, long-term position within a supportive educational setting. The Role This position follows a split-shift pattern on Mondays and Tuesdays (7:00 am – 1:00 pm and 2:30 pm – 6:30 pm). You will act as the first point of contact for site issues, managing everything from minor leaks and lightbulb replacements to the coordination of external contractors. The split shift allows you to be present for the most critical parts of the school day, ensuring the site is safe for the morning intake and securely locked after evening activities. Requirements Skills: A "can-do" attitude and a broad range of practical maintenance skills. Attitude: A human-like, professional manner when interacting with staff, parents, and pupils. Compliance: Candidates must have the right to work in the UK; the school cannot offer sponsorship. A valid enhanced DBS is essential. Salary £25,000 – £28,500 per annum, pro-rata.
