Job Title: Solicitor (L7-L9) - Child Care Solicitor Who You Are You are a qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives with a minimum of two years of post-qualification experience. You possess substantial experience in providing advice on complex cases within your area of specialization, and you are adept at managing a diverse and heavy workload with a focus on key objectives. You are capable of prioritizing effectively, working to tight deadlines, and supervising and developing the skills of legal officers. What the job involves Your primary responsibility is to provide quick and accurate legal advice and to manage a caseload of complex cases, including issues related to children's and adult social care, health, and associated matters. You will conduct court proceedings, draft legal documents, and appear in court and other legal settings. Your role involves instructing counsel and experts on complex cases, ensuring timely updates to clients, maintaining legal files, and contributing to the efficiency of Legal Services. Your work will also involve organizational development, ensuring working practices maximize technology use, and contributing to an integrated approach to service delivery. Skills Qualified solicitor or equivalent Substantial experience in legal advice and complex case management Proven ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines Supervisory and motivational skills for legal officers Strong communication and influencing techniques Customer-oriented with a focus on relationship building Analytical skills and breakthrough thinking Proficient in using technology to enhance work productivity Knowledge of regulatory requirements and professional developments
