About the Role:
This is a fantastic opportunity to work one-on-one with a young person who has an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) diagnosis and a deep passion for science. They are an aspiring scientist with a keen interest across all areas of the subject and are genuinely excited to begin this tuition journey.
You'll play a key role in helping them build confidence, deepen their understanding, and prepare for their iGCSEs in a way that suits their learning style.
As a Science Tutor, you will:
Deliver engaging, structured Science lessons tailored to the student's pace and interests.
Create a calm, supportive, and motivating learning environment.
Build a strong rapport to encourage curiosity and academic growth.
Adapt your teaching approach to suit the student's individual needs.
About you:
Familiarity with the iGCSE curriculum.
Experience working with young people, particularly those who benefit from a personalised approach.
Patience, creativity, and excellent communication skills.
A genuine enthusiasm for science and education.

Essential & Desirable Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year of experience working with young peopleTo be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:
Hold right to work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide references upon request
Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
