Our client is seeking an ambitious and adaptable Financial Controller to take ownership of financial operations, governance, and strategic support.
As Financial Controller, you’ll play a central role in shaping the group’s financial strategy, building strong internal systems, ensuring robust reporting, and supporting senior leaders across R&D, operations, and commercial functions.
The Financial Controller will:
Oversee group-wide financial operations, ensuring robust governance, compliance, and timely reporting.
Provide strategic financial insight to the senior leadership team, supporting key commercial and investment decisions.
Lead financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting to align with the group’s growth objectives.
Manage cash flow, working capital, and long-term financial sustainability across multiple entities.
Strengthen financial systems, controls, and processes to support a scaling organisation.
Lead, mentor, and develop a small but growing finance team, fostering a high-performance culture.
The Financial Controller will have:
Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
Proven experience in a Financial Controller or similar senior finance role.
Experience across financial reporting, tax compliance, audits, R&D investment, and managing government funding mechanisms.
Commercial acumen with experience influencing strategic decisions at leadership level.
Hands-on approach with the ability to balance operational detail and strategic oversight.
