Practice Accountant
Location: Seaford, East Sussex
Salary: £28,000 - £42,000 (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Contract: Full-time, permanent
A well-regarded accountancy firm in Seaford is seeking a proactive and technically strong Accountant to join their growing practice. This is an ideal role for a part-qualified, qualified, or QBE professional looking to take the next step in a varied and client-facing position.
Key Responsibilities:
* Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
* Managing and reviewing VAT returns, bookkeeping records, and management accounts
* Handling client queries and building trusted long-term relationships
* Assisting with tax computations and submissions (corporation and personal tax)
* Supervising junior staff and reviewing work where required
What We're Looking For:
* Practice experience is essential-ideally 3+ years in a UK accountancy firm
* ACCA/ACA part-qualified, fully qualified, or qualified by experience
* Strong working knowledge of accounting and tax principles
* Skilled in cloud accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage
* Strong organisational skills and an ability to manage your own portfolio
