Housing Solicitor — Position Overview:
You will join a busy and respected Housing team handling a varied caseload of housing matters, working both independently and collaboratively while delivering high-quality legal advice to a diverse client base.
Key Responsibilities of the Housing Solicitor:
• Managing a caseload of housing matters including disrepair claims, homelessness appeals and possession matters
• Handling housing-related judicial review challenges
• Advising clients under legal aid, CFA and private funding arrangements
• Delivering clear, practical advice and maintaining excellent client care
• Managing cases from instruction through to resolution
• Working collaboratively within the team and supporting wider departmental objectives
Requirements of the Housing Solicitor:
• Qualified Solicitor with 1–4 years’ PQE
• Experience handling housing matters including disrepair, homelessness and possession claims
• Experience working under legal aid, CFA and private work
• Strong commitment to social justice and client care
• Ability to manage a busy caseload independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
