Bickley Insurance Services Ltd is a general insurance broker, dealing with both Commercial and Personal Lines insurance policies. The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Account Handler to join our expanding team in Wallington. The role involves servicing existing clients, managing renewals, and handling policy adjustments for commercial/SME clients.
This key position focuses on generating revenue and enhancing profitability while ensuring full FCA compliance. The Account Handler will deliver high-quality service tailored to client needs.
Key Responsibilities
1. Ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and professionalism when dealing with clients and insurers, including handling new business, renewals, mid-term adjustments, queries, premium finance arrangements, and issuing cover notes.
2. Maintaining full FCA compliance and adherence to company policies and best practices.
3. Supporting the claims process by managing claims queries, following up on problematic claims, and assisting clients when insurer service falls short.
4. Promoting exceptional customer care standards.
5. Building and maintaining professional relationships with clients, providing expert advice and guidance.
6. Securing renewal business by re-broking existing policies to offer suitable and cost-effective coverage.
7. Encouraging the use of in-house premium finance options.
8. Supporting Account Executives as needed.
Candidate Requirements
Successful candidates will have:
* Experience as an Account Handler within a broker environment.
* Knowledge of insurance products, preferably in commercial and personal lines.
* Experience with FCA compliance standards.
* IT skills, including familiarity with insurance IT systems such as Acturis.
* High accuracy and attention to detail.
* Excellent customer service skills and relationship-building abilities.
* Willingness to pursue or hold Cert CII qualifications.
