Main duties of the job We are looking for a strong leader and a highly motivated Sister/Charge nurse with excellent communication skills with a real passion for nursing to join our Trauma Assessment Unit (TAU). The Sister/Charge Nurse role requires a close working relationship with the multi-professional team to ensure that evidenced based quality care is delivered with compassion to every patient. About The Team TAU is an 8 bedded acute admission and assessment unit where patients come to be assessed or admitted, then transferred to the main ward areas. The patients are commonly admitted from GP referral, clinics and ED routes and the TAU provides an excellent pathway for flow of these emergency admissions. What You’ll Do Detailed job description and main responsibilities As the successful post holder your skills as a senior role model will be pivotal in supporting the personal and professional development of the ward nursing team with the support of your ward leader. You will ensure that quality agendas are being met, making certain that your team are delivering safe, effective, timely care in a caring and supportive way. You would be working in conjunction with the consultant body, nurse practitioners and care group management teams, delivering of established patient pathways whilst assisting with new and innovative approaches to patient care.
