We have an exciting opportunity within the Pharmacy Stores at Royal Wolverhampton NHS trust
Working 30 hours a week over 5 days Monday-Friday
Ideally 10:00-17:00
The successful candidate must be able to work a late night until 6pm once a fortnight. Weekends and Bank holiday duties are undertaken on a rota basis.
The successful candidate should have relevant experience of working in an environment, where the role includes stock control, picking and packing stock, replenishing shelves and providing excellent customer services, you will also be required to have good computer skills.
Working within all areas of pharmacy stores, you will help to supply pharmaceutical stock to wards, picking and packing stock. Visiting wards and departments to provide a top-up service
Main duties of the job
We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and conscientious Assistant Technical Officer to support the team.
Working within all areas of pharmacy stores, you will help to supply pharmaceutical stock to wards. Pick and pack stock. Visit wards and departments to provide a top-up service.
Supply clinics across the Royal Wolverhampton area including teams such as the District Nursing, and Renal teams
Receive stock from suppliers, put stock away and participate in departmental stock checks.
You will have the opportunity to use automated cabinets, and a robot within the department, that supports the workflow across the trust.

Candidates will need at least 2 GSCEs, including Maths and English
NVQ 2 in Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent (or willingness to work towards)
Experience of working in picking and packing environment or goods receipt or providing a "topping up Service"

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Main responsibilities will be to work in the pharmacy stores environment and visiting wards and departments to replenish their pharmaceutical stock. "Top-Up service"
Picking and packing of pharmaceutical stock ready for delivery to the wards and departments across the trust.
Respond to urgent stock requests, and prioritise work sometimes under pressure
Replenishing the automated pharmaceutical stock cabinets on wards and departments
Supporting the goods receipt team with the receipt of pharmaceutical stock, and putting it away
Participate in stock taking and stock control
Working across all trust sites including New Cross, West Park, and Cannock Chase sites.
You will be expected to work a late night, weekends, and bank holidays on a rota basis.
Full training will be given.
