Overview
We are seeking a highly qualified Documentation Engineer for our Brooklyn Park, MN location to create, edit, and manage documentation related to our Helios line of on-premises quantum computers. These highly performant machines are integrated, validated, and deployed world-wide from our Brooklyn Park manufacturing center. This role is ideal for candidates who are excited to work shoulder-to-shoulder with experts documenting their processes and standard work as well as editing, archiving, and maintaining a documentation base.

Responsibilities
* Observe processes, interview subject matter experts, review supporting documents, and write clear drafts for internal documentation such as standard work, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting guides
* Finalize, archive, manage, and maintain the document base for Helios quantum computers for integration, validation, deployment, and operations
* Collaborate across teams and phases to generate appropriate high-quality documentation
* Drive continuous improvement in documentation quality and coverage
* Ensure consistency, clarity, accuracy, and the use of accessible language across all documentation
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree minimum
* Minimum 6 years of post-graduate experience (M.S. or Ph.D. inclusive) in an engineering discipline or technical writing
* Due to contractual requirements, must be a U.S. Person defined as U.S. citizen, permanent resident or green card holder, workers granted asylum or refugee status
* Due to national security requirements imposed by the U.S. Government, candidates for this position must not be a People\'s Republic of China national or Russian national unless the candidate is also a U.S. citizen
We Value
* A strong background in technical writing of internal documents used for high-complexity hardware systems or their subsystems
* Proficiency with documentation creation and version control using Microsoft and Atlassian products
* A detail-oriented mindset that catches errors, inconsistencies, and needed improvements both in writing and in technical processes
* Experience with the full product lifecycle
* Hands-on experience with optical, electrical, mechanical, computing, networking, and/or interconnect subsystems
* Strong communication and collaboration skills
* Experience using Large Language Models or similar AI tools to improve the documentation generation process
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation: $132,000 - $165,000 a year. The pay range for this role is $132,000 – $165,000 annually. Actual compensation within this range may vary based on the candidate’s skills, educational background, professional experience, and unique qualifications for the role.
