About the Team B&NES Council launched last year the new Strategic Commissioning Hub, taking a strategic step to improve efficiency, standardise commissioning processes, and enhance service delivery for the residents of B&NES. The Strategic Commissioning Hub brought together the commissioning, contract management, quality assurance and market oversight functions of Early Help, Children s Services, and Adult Services into one integrated team. About the Role Establishment of the Strategic Commissioning Hub created an exciting opportunity to enhance strategic commissioning by taking long term cross policy areas view. We are seeking a Strategic Commissioning Manager to lead the team of strategic commissioners and collaborate with B&NES residents, partners and stakeholders to develop ambitious strategies to achieve population outcomes. Priorities will include developing long term strategic commissioning plans for B&NES population, ensuring our commissioning and contractual relationships are healthy and effective, are building on achievements made in 2024 to embed co-production in commissioning practice. About You You will need extensive experience in developing strategic commissioning plans in early help, children social care or adult social care, and a sophisticated grasp of emerging delivery models. Proven ability to collaborate with people and delivering what is important to them will be an advantage. If you are looking for an organisation with clarity of purpose, and the role to develop your commissioning career, this could be the one for you. This is a hybrid role that will require someone to work from different office locations within B&NES for part of the week. This role may also require occasional travel to visit other locations within B&NES. Therefore, the role will either require someone who can drive or is able to travel between different locations when required.
