Working hours: 8.30 am - 3.30 pm (Term Time Only)
Pay Rate: Paid to Scale.
GSL Education are currently seeking dedicated professionals experienced in supporting young people with Special Needs & Learning Difficulties to join our Team.

Responsibilities when supporting SEMH:
* Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with SEN needs within the classroom setting.
* Collaborate with teaching staff to implement education plans and behaviour plans.
* Create a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting emotional well-being and social development.
* Monitor and track the progress of students, providing regular feedback to relevant parties.
* Assist in interventions, utilising school facilities such as sensory integration rooms, sports equipment and therapeutic settings to re-integrate children back into the classroom.
* Work closely with external agencies, parents, and colleagues to ensure a holistic approach to student support.
Required to work with SEMH:
* Relevant qualifications in education, Sports, Psychology, Performing Arts etc.
* Teacher, Teaching Assistant, Learning Support, Behaviour Support, Sports Coaches all welcomed.
* Team Teach training or equivalent is highly desirable.
* Previous experience working with students with SEMH or SEND needs, including Autism, Complex care, MLD, PMLD.
* Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and interventions including de-escalation tactics
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Experience supporting students with EHCP’s is desirable.
