We’re recruiting!
Join us as a Learning Disability Support Worker and help build a future where learning disabled people live the best life possible.
We know that life can be complicated for everybody. But some of us are stopped from working towards our dreams. Many learning disabled people won’t be heard about the support they’d like. Some won’t get to decide what they do for work. Or how to spend or save their money. Many won't get to try out the new hobbies they’d love to try.
But you can change all that.
Join our growing team in Shefford, and get all the training you need to become a confident Support Worker.
Do you feel like our values - Kind, Diverse, Positive and Visionary - are a good match to your values? Then we’ve got lots in common already. Come on board and support learning disabled adults with those very values to develop skills, achieve their life goals and thrive in your community.
What we offer you
* Where you’ll be working: Shefford (Residential)
* Your salary: £12.77 per hour
* Your working hours: 30-hour contract and casual opportunities available. Working a combination of early shifts, late shifts, and every other weekend.
* Sleep-ins at the service are paid at £45.06

What you’ll be doing
Every day is different. You may support someone to plan their weekly shop, go on outdoor adventures, provide personal care, or support attendance at their favourite gigs. You could be helping someone build confidence in using public transport or teaching money management skills. The goal is supporting people to discover new interests, achieve goals, and maintain relationships with family and friends.
You’ll provide high-standard care and support for learning disabled adults. Listening to their wants and needs, enabling daily tasks like taking medication, cooking, or building confidence for new adventures. Supporting a variety of shifts to help balance your work and home life.
Having a full driving license is a plus but not essential.
