Airfreight Coordinator – Colnbrook – Up to £30,
Our client is looking for an Air Freight Coordinator to join their team in Colnbrook due to organic growth as a business.
The Airfreight Coordinator will be required to co-ordinate all Air freight activities.
Hours: Monday to Friday – 8:30am to 17:30pm (one hour unpaid lunch break)
Salary: Up to £30, DOE
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Ensure all air import/export jobs are completed correctly and in a timely manner
2. Ensure all customs declaration tasks are completed correctly and in a timely manner
3. Report immediately to the line manager any amendments to customs declarations
4. Ensure the operational system is always used and correctly
5. Assist other department as and when required by the company
6. Provide support and holiday coverage for the local staff when required
7. Maintain regular communications with the network and sales team
8. Look and propose new efficiencies in customer workflow
9. Liaise with HMRC and maintenance of customs procedures
10. Ensure all reports are completed as per provided deadline
11. Ensure the SOP’s are followed completely
12. Look and propose new efficiencies in customer work flow
13. Passing invoices from suppliers and providers within 48 hours from receipt
14. Ensure Insurance is charged correctly
15. Ensure insurance claims are given to the claims department immediately
16. Propose and report to Line Manager; strategies related to the Air products
Experience required:
17. Proven experience, gained ideally within the Freight Forwarding sector for a UK based forwarder
18. Right to work in the UK – No sponsorship is on offer for this role
19. Must be based in the UK
20. Knowledge and experience of Import/Export multimodal business
21. Knowledge/skills required for Air Freight sales and products
