Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and caring individual to join our friendly and supportive Renal Team at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. As a Dialysis Assistant, you will assist in the delivery of high quality patient care and support to patients attending for haemodialysis.
Any experience in Dialysis would be a bonus!
Responsibilities
* Assist in the preparation, provision of care and supervision of patients treated by haemodialysis.
* Maintain and order stores on the unit.
* Work within your own level of competence and participate in renal unit competency training (you will be supernumerary while you receive full training).
Requirements / Qualifications
* Experience in dialysis would be an advantage (not essential).
Working pattern
The Renal Unit is open 6 days a week from Monday to Saturday including Bank Holidays. Staff work 13 hour shifts. The post holder must be able to work flexibly and be able to travel between sites as required. The Unit is open from 06:00 to 24:00 on Monday, Wednesday and Friday with an Early and a Late shift, and 07:00 to 20:00 on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday with one shift.
