Cherry Blossom care home are looking to recruit for a Night Shift Carer working from 8pm to 8am.

Cherry Blossom is a purpose-built care home, managed byKeily Newnham. Set in Cowes on the Isle of Wight it is within easy distance of the mainland, serviced by hourly commuter links. Cherry Blossom prides itself on giving and maintaining a family approach to care, by always putting the individual first making sure that all their comforts are fully catered for.
About the role –
Working two nights per week, your duties will include but are not limited to
* Assisting residents with their night time routine, helping them get ready for bed and settle down for the night. Providing a high standard of personal care including oral care.
* To serve supper and drinks and promote good hydration throughout the night.
* To assist with the promotion of additional calories for those residents who need nutritional support and maintaining dietary requirements for residents as per their care plan.
* To administer medication to residents, if qualified to do so, and maintain accurate administration records.
* Carry out regular checks on residents ensuring all residents are clean and comfortable throughout the night. Incontinent residents must be checked more regularly. Offering residents drinks throughout the night when they are awake.
About you –
* Previous experience in a similar role would be beneficial although no essential as training can be provided.
* Good communication skills
* Able to work well under pressure
* Able to work well as part of a team and using own initiative
