Job Description
Canon UK&I are looking for a Payroll Coordinator on a 12 months FTC basis to cover maternity leave. You will be supporting the Canon Payroll Team by carrying out the daily/monthly payroll processing tasks for the Irish payroll while ensuring clear and accurate information is being communicated the business. Ensuring deadlines are being maintained to reduce the chance of errors.
Salary for this role is up to £35,000 dependent on experience.
Responsibilities
* Producing payroll reports to Payroll Manager to allow for thorough checking, limiting the risk of incorrect data being processed.
* Liaising with members of Finance/HR with reports at the end of each payroll.
* Taking proactive initiative to process payments for Canon new starters, leavers, benefits, allowances, maternity, sickness, salary changes and overtime related to the Irish payroll.
* Closely working with the HR Operations team and HR Business Partners. Providing clear communication to allow for precise information to be actioned in the month.
* Working close with payroll team on the delivery payroll. Making sure this is noted down from a payroll perspective to prevent under/over taxation for the employee.
* Supporting Payroll Manager with matters which relate to PAYE, taxation, P11Ds, HMRC and ROS.
* Run the monthly Payroll ensuring all information is correct at the point of payment.
* Liaising with the Irish payroll bureau to ensure and timely processing of the monthly payroll.
* Ensuring that compliant information has been provided for Canon's internal SOX Audit Controls. Providing efficient evidence to back up payments and figures which have been made in current month.
* Confidently liaising with the employee with their queries. Making sure that communication platforms are monitored to reduce the chance of delayed/missed communication.
* Submitting Irish pension monthly.
* EHECS report quarterly required by CSO
Qualifications
* Irish Payroll experience desirable not essential.
* Proven substantial experience in a similar role
* Strong knowledge of UK Tax and Ireland Tax regulations.
* Demonstrated ability to work independently be self-motivated.
* Experience with HR systems and payroll software.
* A sense of humour
* Knowledge of UK payroll legislation
* Experience of payroll processing
* Proficiency in Microsoft excel .
