Events and Communications Manager
Location: Manchester
Hybrid: 2 days in the office per week
Fixed Term: 15-month fixed contract. To start ASAP
We’re looking for an experienced Events & Communications Manager to lead our client’s external corporate events. This role supports their business development team, with a focus on raising brand awareness and reputation in the sector.
Responsibilities include managing event logistics, planning internal engagement events, overseeing budgets, serving as the primary contact for event inquiries, supporting event delivery, evaluating event performance, developing event calendars, hiring event personnel, and continuous improvement.
In communications, the role involves leading marketing strategies, promoting events, developing sponsorship opportunities, collaborating with internal teams, creating marketing plans, and supporting internal communications and recruitment outreach.
Essential skills and experience:
* At least 3 years in event management and communications planning
* Strategic planning and logistical coordination skills
* Ability to work independently and take initiative
Desirable skills:
* Experience in B2B marketing and engagement
* Leadership experience
* Proficiency in Zoom Webinar and CRM platforms like Salesforce
* Skills in Canva or similar software
* Experience in an agency environment
