Our Client, Oldham council is seeking a Children’s Senior Social Worker to join their Assessment & Intervention Team.

Responsibilities
* Lead and manage complex assessments of children and families to identify risks, needs, and strengths.
* Develop and oversee care plans that ensure safety, promote wellbeing, and support long-term positive outcomes.
* Provide professional guidance and support to less experienced social workers within the team.
* Take a lead role in statutory interventions, including Child Protection and court proceedings.
* Chair multi-agency meetings and contribute to strategic planning for high-risk cases.
* Ensure high-quality case recording and compliance with statutory frameworks.
* Build strong relationships with children, families, and partner agencies to deliver coordinated support.
* Respond to crisis situations with confidence and professionalism, ensuring timely and effective action.
* Promote best practice and contribute to service development and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
* Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
* Must have minimum of 3 year's experience working as a Qualified social worker
