Senior Project Quantity Surveyor – Clean Energy Generation
We are seeking a Senior Project Quantity Surveyor for a leading project developer focused on Renewable Energy assets across the UK. The successful candidate will support project delivery from development through construction and handover to operations.
Projects include the UK’s largest Energy Storage Assets (+100MW), H2 Ready Thermal Power Plants, and Green Hydrogen Electrolysis Assets, involving high-value equipment, M&E, and civils activities.
The ideal candidate will oversee risk and value management, drive subcontractor performance, and manage quality. Experience in M&E, Renewables, O&G, Thermal power, or large-scale Infrastructure is desirable.
Key Requirements
* Experience with various contract forms, especially NEC contracts (ECC Accredited Project Manager qualification preferred).
* Experience in heavy Civils/M&E/Energy works in a main/principal contractor setting is advantageous.
* Experience managing contracts over £10m for a principal contractor is desirable.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead change management processes, maintain change control procedures, and manage risk registers.
* Prepare procurement documents, review work scopes, and negotiate contracts.
* Manage contractor accounts, assess payments, and issue payment notices.
* Challenge disallowed costs and oversee reporting activities, including cost plans and earned value management.
* Provide commercial support to site management and foster professional relationships.
