About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior IT Business Analyst to join our team. This critical role requires deep subject matter expertise, strong leadership, and excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, driving the development and implementation of complex IT solutions. You will help shape strategic directions, foster innovation, and mentor junior colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Expert Liaison & Requirements Management: Act as the primary liaison between clients and technical groups, managing complex business requirements from inception to delivery using superior communication, elicitation, documentation, analysis, and validation skills.
2. Strategic Solution Development: Recommend and lead the development, enhancement, and maintenance of client business systems, processes, and products, leveraging high-maturity methods, processes, and tools.
3. Innovation & Influence: Use industry knowledge and IT understanding to develop innovative solutions and influence the strategic direction of clients and analysis teams on large-scale projects.
4. Leadership & Governance: Lead requirements and change management processes for complex initiatives, including visualisation and UX design.
5. Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain relationships to effectively manage project scope, schedule, budgets, and expectations.
6. Business Analysis & Opportunity Identification: Lead business studies, present findings to senior management, and participate in proposals and feasibility studies, leveraging industry knowledge to identify new opportunities.
7. Process Improvement & Mentorship: Promote continuous process improvements and mentor peers and clients, establishing and refining policies.
8. Independent Judgement: Exercise significant independent judgment within policies to determine the best methods for work and objectives.
Requirements:
* 5+ years experience as a Business Analyst in a large, complex company
* Staff management and/or mentoring experience
* Expertise in liaison, requirements management, and strategic solution development as described above
* Ability to influence and lead large-scale projects, manage stakeholders, and identify business opportunities
