About the role
We’re looking for an Office Manager to join our Thames Water Frameworks team at Maple Lodge, Rickmansworth. The role is full‑time, with some flexibility on hours available if desired. Remote working from time to time may be suitable. We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.
As Office Manager, you’ll be at the heart of our project operations, ensuring the smooth running of our office facilities and supporting the team in delivering essential infrastructure projects for Thames Water. The role involves coordinating office administration, managing team workflows, and creating a welcoming, efficient environment for everyone.
Responsibilities
* Managing the day‑to‑day running of project offices, including health and safety procedures, facilities maintenance, and creating a safe, productive workspace
* Coordinating office administration tasks such as payroll validation, absence management, and supporting new starters through their onboarding journey
* Overseeing project administration systems including document control, time and attendance, and financial processes such as goods received notes
* Supporting office security arrangements, IT connectivity, and ensuring all necessary assessments and inductions are completed
* Leading and mentoring technical administrators where applicable, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment
Qualifications
* Experience in a similar office administrative or management role and a track record of keeping things organised and running smoothly
* Comfortable using Microsoft packages and ideally knowledge of CPA Causeway or similar project management systems
* Understanding of payroll processes and knowledge of the CIJC Working Rule Agreement, or a keen interest in developing this understanding
* Collaborative and approachable, building positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels
