BDO’s Tax Accounting Group brings together tax professionals specializing in tax accounting and tax audit work. Led by an equity partner, we offer an exciting and quality career path for ambitious individuals.
This role involves providing tax audit support on our largest, high-profile audits across various sectors. Key responsibilities include acting as a tax accounting specialist for non-audit clients, assisting with complex provisioning engagements, and handling tax accounting aspects of GAAP conversions, carve-out accounting, and acquisition accounting. Our clients include FTSE companies, AIM-listed companies, large inbound businesses, and private equity-backed firms.
You will manage several tax audits, serve as the primary contact with audit teams, and collaborate closely with junior staff and tax partners. Additionally, you'll work on ad hoc projects across teams, applying your tax accounting expertise in diverse contexts to deliver excellent service to clients. You will also be a key contact for tax accounting queries within the broader tax and audit practices and participate in coaching and training junior team members.

* Prior experience in tax accounting and tax auditing, with a desire to specialize further
* Knowledge of tax accounting under FRS102 and IFRS; US GAAP experience is a plus but not essential
* General corporate tax experience including advisory and compliance services for various clients
* Strong project management skills, including meeting deadlines, ownership, and team management
* Experience coaching and training junior staff
* Experience engaging with senior management and key stakeholders
* Degree-level education and CTA and/or ACA qualification or equivalent
