PFI Portfolio Director

Our client is a leading infrastructure investor looking to recruit an experienced and strategic Portfolio Director to lead the delivery of lifecycle works across their broad portfolio of high profile assets.
This role is critical to realising value at portfolio level, driving the effective delivery of lifecycle at project level and reducing risk. The Portfolio Director will play a pivotal role in driving value and performance across the managed portfolio and work with the Executive team in setting and delivering wider strategic objectives.
The Portfolio Director will oversee the strategic planning, execution, and management of lifecycle and capital works projects within the PFI and asset management portfolio. This role requires a deep understanding of asset management principles, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage complex projects and budgets.
Key Responsibilities:
Lifecycle Management
Develop and implement strategies for the ongoing management of asset lifecycles, ensuring optimal performance and longevity of assets
Capital Works Delivery
Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of capital works projects, with a minimum budget of £250 million over the next five years to be delivered.
Strategic Planning
Create and execute long-term strategic plans for asset management and capital works, aligning with the portfolio objectives.
Stakeholder Engagement
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including local authorities, FM contractors, and supply chain to ensure successful project delivery.
Budget Management
Oversee and report on the ongoing management and monitoring of project / portfolio spend forecast, ensuring cost-effective and timely delivery of projects.
Risk Management
Work with the Advisory Services team to identify and mitigate risks associated with lifecycle and capital works projects, ensuring continuity and reliability of asset performance.
Performance Monitoring
Oversee the tracking and reporting of performance of assets and projects, using key metrics to drive continuous improvement.
Person Specification:
* Extensive experience in a PFI/PPP environment at a senior level with a significant and broad network across the infrastructure sector.
* Ability to work autonomously to deliver significant strategic objectives across an organisation
* Deep understanding of PFI contracts and asset management principles
* Resilient and tenacious
* Strategic thinker
* Degree or equivalent in a related field (quantity surveying, building surveying etc)
