The Job Role Details:

As Seed Sales Specialist you will develop a profitable sales territory promoting and selling seed varieties and brands to progressive farms throughout the East of England.

Key Responsibilities:
You will…

1. Achieve sales targets by product group / varieties / brands agreed with the company for each financial year.

2. Agree and implement a sales business plan for development and retention of profitable accounts.

3. Produce sales forecast by customer / species / variety for each sales campaign.

4. Visit farmers to promote and sell the company product portfolio. Where possible develop a multi-crop offering.

5. Develop relationships with independent agronomy groups and farm groups to influence decisions at farm level.

6. Follow up company marketing campaigns at farm level.

7. Attend trade shows, set-up and manage demo sites across and events to support specific sales and marketing activity.

8. Plan and present farmer agronomist meetings and demonstrations.

9. Attend company sales meetings and training programmes.

10. Continuously develop personal skills, commercial and technical and drive personal development plan.

11. Adhere to the company credit and pricing policies.

12. Report area and market activities to the management of the company using the relevant IT solutions available (CRM).

13. Manage time and activity with customers using company CRM Sales system.

14. Create marketing lists to drive marketing intel and social media via CRM.

15. Use IT tools to input orders and new account.

Ideal Person Skills & Qualifications:

16. Proven track record and experience in a similar agricultural sales role.

17. Practical farming experience.

18. Good communication skills.

19. Clean Driving Licence.

20. IT literate.

21. BASIS / FACTS - desirable but not essential.
