Position: Financial Reporting & Tax Manager
Location: Hybrid - 3 days in Hereford office, 2 days remote
Type: Full-time, Permanent

We are supporting them with the recruitment of a Financial Reporting & Tax Manager to join our high-performing finance team. This is a pivotal role reporting directly to the CFO, where you'll lead on statutory reporting, tax compliance, and financial control across our UK and international operations.
What You'll Be Doing
Financial Reporting
1. Lead the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements (UK GAAP)
2. Manage group consolidation and month-end close
3. Oversee internal controls and accounting policy compliance
4. Coordinate year-end processes and external audits
5. Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning
Tax Management
6. Manage corporate tax compliance and submissions
7. Oversee VAT, PAYE, and indirect tax reporting
8. Advise on tax planning and risk mitigation
9. Liaise with HMRC and external tax advisors
10. Monitor legislative changes and assess impact
Leadership & Process Improvement
11. Lead and develop a small finance team across the UK and India
12. Drive automation and process improvements
13. Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance financial operations
What We're Looking For
14. Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
15. 5+ years' post-qualification experience in financial reporting and tax
16. Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and UK tax compliance
17. Experience with auditors, HMRC, and external advisors
18. Advanced Excel and financial systems proficiency
19. A proactive, hands-on leader with strong communication skills
