Description
Responsible for ensuring service schedules are completed on time and in full, whilst monitoring vehicle and driver compliance in accordance with all relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Planning and communicating detailed route plans.
2. Being the main point of contact for nightshift drivers, assisting with any day-to-day issues.
3. Query resolution.
4. Liaising with all internal departments e.g. Customer Care, Workshop, Operations, Weighbridge, and Finance.
5. Monitoring working time regulations, addressing all non-conformance.
6. Conducting daily driver debriefs to ensure optimal service levels and compliance.
7. Coordinating with on-site garage to present vehicles and trailers for safety inspections and defect repairs in a timely manner.
8. Managing the company process following accidents and incidents, including the completion of relevant systems.
9. Completing daily and weekly KPI reports and following up on poor performance.
10. Performing other ad-hoc duties to improve inter-departmental performance.
11. Downloading all tacho heads monthly to remain within scope.
12. Ensuring fleet cleaning/greasing takes place weekly.
13. Preloading vehicles and trailers for the following day to reduce downtime.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
1. Previous experience within a transport/planning/supervisor role.
2. Good geographic knowledge of the local region.
3. Excellent IT and communication skills.
