Overview
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance (HIOWAA) brings an advanced Critical Care Team to the most seriously ill and injured patients across the region, giving them the best chance of survival and recovery. The service is delivered as a partnership between HIOWAA Charity and University Hospital Southampton. We are expanding our team of Critical Care Paramedics, aiming to recruit experienced clinicians who are committed to providing the highest standards of clinical care in challenging pre-hospital circumstances. Initially based at our airbase in Thruxton, but at Southampton Airport from February 2026, the role is varied and developmental, requiring clinicians to be great team members and focused on delivering outstanding patient care.
University Hospital Southampton is one of England's largest acute teaching Trusts, offering a wide range of learning and development opportunities to support your career aspirations. Located on the south coast with an international airport and direct rail links to London, Southampton offers an ideal setting to live and work, with the New Forest, South Downs and Jurassic Coast. UHS is committed to providing a flexible working environment and to supporting a diverse, inclusive team where everyone feels valued, safe, and empowered to make a meaningful impact in our communities.
At UHS we champion individuality and are committed to anti-racist, anti-discriminatory practice. We welcome applicants of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences.
