As a People Advisor, you will partner with managers and teams to foster a high-performance, inclusive culture and create an outstanding colleague experience.
You will be the first point of contact for generalist HR advice and support, working closely with leaders on talent management, capability and development, and employee relations. Through coaching and collaboration, you’ll help drive engagement, support effective people processes, and ensure our people reach their full potential.
We are recruiting for 2 People Advisors, based at our Sandy and Stevenage sites.
Responsibilities include:
* Advise and support line managers on the execution of people policies, processes, and practices
* Coach line managers to deliver an exceptional end-to-end colleague experience across areas such as performance, ER, absence management, and wellbeing
* Advise line managers as a subject matter expert in employee relations cases, ensuring a fair, consistent, and compliant approach
* Support internal consultations and organisational changes, including preparation and administration of supporting documentation and/or note taking
* Ensure all people data, records, and reports are accurate and up to date
* Manage and monitor Right to Work checks to ensure compliance with legal requirements
* Work closely with the Health & Safety Coordinator to maintain a safe, compliant, and well-documented workplace
* Coordinate and manage all Occupational Health (OH) appointments for employees
* Collaborate with employment agencies to support recruitment and conversion processes effectively
* Work closely with the People Admin and Payroll team to ensure smooth HR operations and operational excellence within people practices
The ideal candidate with have:
* Proven experience (2–3 years) in a People Advisor role.
* In-depth knowledge of HR policies, processes, and a solid understanding of UK employment law
* Demonstrated passion for employee wellbeing and colleague engagement initiatives
* Excellent communication, coaching, and influencing skills
* Skilled at interacting and building relationships with others
* Supportive and collaborative approach, managing sensitive matters with empathy, discretion, and confidentiality – Integrity being the most practiced behaviour
* Strong planning, prioritisation, and organisational abilities
* High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is essential
* CIPD Level 3 qualification acknowledged however, hands‑on experience in a similar HR role is key
