Job Title: SEN Teacher
Location: Peterborough, Cambridgeshire
Hours / Contract: Full time, permanent
Salary: £32,000 - £39,000 depending on experience
We are currently seeking an SEN Teacher to join a wonderful provision based in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire.
This is an Independent school supporting children aged 9-19 with autism and other related learning difficulties. The school prides itself on its holistic and diverse learning environments which encourage students to thrive, feel nurtured, and enjoy learning.
The role:
* Ensure that all learners undertake highly individualised learning programmes, designed to meet their specific needs and aspirations.
* Deliver highly effective teaching, learning, and assessment that enables all learners to make better than expected progress against their outcomes.
* Play an active role in young people's lives, prioritising the experience of the learners, and being an excellent and supportive colleague.
Qualifications / Experience:
* You must have a QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) Qualification or PGCE, which is required for the position, with a minimum of two years of teaching experience.
* Experience in teaching Year 3-Year 6 and/or SEN Year 7-11.
* An understanding of SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities).
* Due to the personal choice of the people we support, we are looking to recruit someone who has a full clean UK driving licence.
