IT Network & Telecommunications Administrator
Salary: £36,000 - £48,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 5.30pm (40 hour week)
Location: Wolverhampton office based

Purpose of the Role
Responsible for managing technology efficiently through tools and scripting. Organizes, leads, and coordinates with other IT departments to ensure system components are well-managed.
* Designs and develops complex, integrated solutions to meet business requirements or improve Garmin’s network and telecommunications systems
* Performs cost analyses and vendor comparisons for projects to ensure cost-effective operations. Evaluates feasibility and makes recommendations
* Continuously develops expertise on current and emerging network & telecommunications technologies
* Communicates effectively about system operations and environment changes
* Adheres to SOX, PCI, and other regulatory standards
* Understands and manages capacity, redundancy, and health of network & telecommunications systems
* Ensures security requirements are met or exceeded
* Uses standards and procedures proficiently
* Communicates clearly in writing and verbally within a team or department
* Aligns work with Garmin’s Mission Statement and Quality Policy, showing enthusiasm for company success
* Mentors less experienced IT Administrators
* Provides reliable solutions using sound problem-solving techniques, including root cause analysis and corrective actions
* Performs and plans minor system upgrades
* Uses tools and scripting for efficient management
* Makes recommendations for component improvements
* Identifies system and application interdependencies
* Coordinates cross-team non-project changes
* Participates in roadmap planning for systems or applications
* Leads meetings with IT system users
* Adapts well to change and welcomes constructive feedback
* Monitors appropriate security access levels
Education & Experience
* Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, MIS, Business, or related field, or 2 years relevant experience, or an equivalent combination
* Ability to solve moderately complex technical problems independently
* Experience in successful technology implementation
* Strong communication skills in a small team environment
* Quality documentation and organizational skills
* Deep understanding of IT Infrastructure, including Telephony: Avaya, SIP, Microsoft Teams Voice
