JOB TITLE: Strategic Partnership Manager - New Business
SALARY: Competitive package
LOCATION: Basildon, Bristol, Birmingham, Leeds and Manchester
HOURS: Full-time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, involving at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office hubs or partner sites.
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Merchant Services team, where you could play a key role in shaping the future of payments acceptance!
About this opportunity
A great opportunity has arisen to join the growing Partnership team in Lloyds Merchant Services to help expand our key partnerships.
Using your extensive knowledge and experience in the payments space, you'll collaborate with internal sales and strategy teams to assess and prioritize a pipeline of partners (ISVs, PSPs, ISOs, PAAS, Plug-ins, etc.) to give Lloyds an edge in our top sectors.
This role involves leading commercial and contractual negotiations, liaising with technical colleagues for onboarding, and engaging with GTM teams for internal and external launches.
What you’ll be doing:
* Identify and target applicable partnerships using your expertise across Lloyd’s top sectors
* Lead complex negotiations, supporting legal and technical aspects as needed
* Collaborate with sales to understand gaps and how the partner team can support
* Prioritize partners based on internal needs and problem-solving strategies
* Support sales teams by attending meetings and conferences, acting as an SME on partnerships
* Onboard partners and prepare them for success before transitioning to the Relationship Management team
* Work with senior leadership to align initiatives with company goals
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners for long-term success
* Represent Lloyds at industry events, conferences, and forums to promote thought leadership and strategic partnerships

What You’ll Need
* Significant experience in the payments acceptance industry and management experience in merchant services/gateway environments
* Experience working with third-party organizations such as ISVs, ISOs, technology providers, or managing relationships with them
* Experience in core UK sectors like Hospitality and Retail
* Technical knowledge of integration complexities and understanding challenges from both partner and merchant perspectives
* Proven success in influencing or contributing to high-level strategy
* A proactive, partner- and customer-centric problem solver
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and PowerBI
