Employment Solicitor / Legal Executive (with Practising Rights)
Are you an experienced Employment Solicitor or Legal Executive with practising rights? We are looking for a motivated professional to join a dynamic Employment team, managing a varied caseload and providing expert advice and representation to clients.
Location:
Pontypool – hybrid and flexible working options available.
What You’ll Do:
* Manage a diverse caseload of employment law matters, including:
* Unfair and wrongful dismissal claims
* Discrimination and Equality Act issues
* Redundancy, restructuring, and TUPE transfers
* Employment Tribunal proceedings
* Drafting and negotiating settlement agreements
* Deliver clear, pragmatic advice to clients at every stage
* Liaise with trade unions and maintain strong working relationships with union representatives
* Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards
* Support, mentor, and develop junior team members
* Represent the team at union conferences and networking events
What We’re Looking For:
* Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with practising rights (2+ years PQE)
* Proven experience in employment litigation and advisory work
* Excellent client care, communication, and interpersonal skills
* Ability to thrive in a collaborative, high-performing team environment
Desirable:
* Experience working with trade unions
* Membership of the Employment Lawyers Association (ELA)
