Marine Control Room Operator (MCRO) Position at Bumi Armada UK Limited
Bumi Armada UK Limited (BAUK) currently have a permanent staff opportunity for a Marine Control Room Operator (MCRO) to join the Armada Kraken FPSO team on a 3:4:3:5 rotational pattern. The MC is responsible for the safe and cost-effective operation and maintenance of the facility’s marine systems, with minimal environmental impact, in accordance with legislation, class, flag, and the integrated facility management system.
The successful candidate will have relevant offshore experience, and will ideally have:
1. STCW95 Chief Officer preferred. A lesser certificate may be considered with significant relevant experience
2. Strong experience in the offshore oil & gas environment, preferably in the UKCS, and preferably on an FPSO, with experience in a Marine Operator position
3. Crude oil tanker experience with specific reference to loading, ballasting, crude oil washing, and inert gas operations
4. The experience and ability to provide stand-in cover for the Marine Supervisor if required
5. Experience with Permit to Work systems
6. A good standard of competence in the use of IT, with experience of safety management systems
7. Strong commitment to health and safety
8. A good understanding of engineering & operational procedures that meet both regulatory and safety standards
9. The ability to undertake work first meeting acceptance criteria with respect to safety, technical integrity, cost, and schedule
10. The ability to co-ordinate with project and planning engineers to plan, monitor, and control project activities
11. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
12. Dangerous Cargo Endorsement – Oil GMDSS Licence
13. BOSIET or FOET including CA-EBS with shoulder width measurement
14. A valid OGUK medical certificate
15. Minimum Industry Safety Training (MIST)
