Overview
Join Stantec's 2026 Graduate Programme in Birmingham as a Graduate Mechanical Engineer in Water. You will be part of a collaborative design team delivering innovative solutions for water and wastewater treatment, pumping stations and hydraulic systems. You will contribute to the design and delivery of complex projects from front end engineering design through to detailed design, installation and construction support.
Responsibilities
* Contribute to the design and delivery of projects related to pump hydraulics, valve selection, piping systems and related equipment.
* Be involved in the full project lifecycle, from front end engineering design through to detailed design, installation and construction support.
* Work within the UK-focused project portfolio with emphasis on water frameworks.
* Receive mentorship from a chartered engineer to support your development toward chartered status.
About You
Essential: You have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar discipline and a keen interest in the water industry. You are adaptable, collaborative, a problem-solver and able to remain calm in changing situations.

Please note: Graduates are expected to come into the office 4 days per week to ensure sufficient time with the team and support.
