Seeking a consultant in intensive care medicine for a position in a hospital based practice in one of the South Island's most sought after locations. Position Highlights 140 bed general public hospital providing secondary medical and surgical services 30 hours working week plus on call rota 1in 7 with on site registrar 24 hour cover Join a team of 2 Anaesthetists with Intensive Care skills and 2 Intensivists. Participate in an Intensive Care daytime roster and an Intensive Care after-hours 1:7 on call roster Respond swiftly and effectively to emergency situation and provide expert medical care to critical patients in the intensive care unit. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans. ICU is working towards CICM level 2 ICU accreditation. Supervise and participate in teaching of junior medical workforce Professional Requirements FRACP / FANZCA or equivalent specialist qualification Fellowship / subspecialist training Eligible for vocational or provisional vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand Remuneration Package Salary (ASMS scale depending upon experience) On call allowances superannuation at 6% 6 weeks annual leave 12 days public holidays 10 days study leave plus NZD16K pa for expenses generous relocation package - be reimbursed a competitive relocation, accommodation, and car rental expenses Location: The Nelson Marlborough region This region, located at the summit of the South Island in Aotearoa, New Zealand, is spectacular.
