EL/PL Solicitor - Leeds - Up to £50,000
This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded defendant personal injury team with a strong reputation for advising on complex and high-profile matters. The team is well known for its expertise in defending claims, including catastrophic injury cases and has been involved in a number of significant appellate decisions. It acts for a diverse client base, including insurers, corporate organisations and individuals, providing exposure to a wide range of challenging and engaging work within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
In this role, you will manage a caseload of employers’ liability and public liability matters with opportunities to support on more complex and higher-value matters. You will be expected to assess liability, causation and quantum, identify appropriate lines of investigation and work closely with colleagues on technically demanding cases. Experience in human rights and data breach claims would be an advantage.
The Candidate
* Solicitor with 2+ years’ post-qualification experience (or equivalent)
* Experience and strong interest in personal injury or casualty claims, including EL and PL matters
* Experience handling matters both pre- and post-litigation
* Commercially aware with enthusiasm for business development
* Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Confident using case management systems and working to financial targets
